Our first meeting of May featured guest speaker D. Timothy Huey, Attorney at Law. Counselor Huey is a specialist in representing people charged with Driving Under the Influence. Lots of information of the do’s and don’ts when stopped by the law and several stories of the people that found themselves in that predicament. Very educational!
INSTALLATION NIGHT
Our second meeting in May was our annual Installation of Officers and Awards Banquet. PDG Lion John Dilley was the guest of honor and installing officer. Lion Steve Yanega gratefully handed over the bell and gavel to Lion Jane Jarrow who will take the reins on July 1 to lead us into another Lions year. “Thank you” Lion Steve and “good luck” Lion Jane.

MEMORIAL DAY PARADE
We had a record turnout for the Grandview Memorial Day Parade. About 25 Lions and children marched the parade route to show our Lions colors. We were blessed with a perfect day to toss bouncy balls and candy to the spectators – well worth the price of some tired feet!
