Well, summer is over! In the month of August, our members did absolutely nothing but fire up the BBQ and relax with a cold one. But that‟s all about to change!
The first thing on the agenda is the Ice Cream Sale at the Grandview Ox Roast. Lion Al Sulser has made up a list and checked it twice to see how many Lions are dipping the ice. The Ox Roast is set for September 17, 18 and 19. So, if you want to work or you are scheduled already, check with Lion Al to make sure and SHOW UP! On the days you are not scheduled – EAT ICE CREAM! Now how hard is that?
The other item on the schedule is the White Cane Sale. As our president mentioned at the beginning, it is really important that we get everyone involved and to SHOW UP to work our only fundraiser of the fall. Sign up with Lion Rick Rocci today! The White Cane Sale is scheduled for October 8th and 9th in Grandview and the 10th in Upper Arlington in addition to the store locations to be announced. Buckets, aprons and stickers will be available for your White Caning convenience. Of course, anyone who wants to just write a check for $10,000 and keep all of us from standing in the traffic, please step forward. Thanks!
