Fundraiser Recap

Our Rose Sale was (of course) a mix of joy and chaos. Nothing new there. Over all, we sold a little over 300 dozen red roses which netted the club about $3000. Thank you to all that sold roses, delivered roses, helped at the garage and all the little things that help to pull this off.

Our food fund raiser at the 5th Avenue Lumber Open House came off pretty well. We did not make a lot of money but we did have a good time and met some fine people. The weather was a little cold and damp so I‟m sure it was not as well attended as planned. Who knows what opportunities may come from this.

Our next fund raiser is the Pancake Breakfast on July 24th. Lion Judy Tackett is trying to revitalize this great opportunity and make a few changes. We will be preparing our own pancakes, sides and drinks. We are going to do some really great promotions (a lot of that is up to you) and we are going to try to get some great entertainment to make this an event that everyone in the community will enjoy. Keep your calendars open and sign up to help. We need this to be a great success.
