TRI-VILLAGE LIONS CLUB FUNDRAISERS

The success of the club and the contributions our club makes towards eyecare research, diabetes research, eyeglasses and exams for the needy, guide dogs, international and local disaster relief, and various other help and benefits for the blind is all dependant on the strength and participation of our fundraisers. The Tri-Village Lions Club thanks all the businesses and citizens that have supported us and our causes through the years and we look forward to increased support from the community in the upcoming years.

Pancake Breakfast

Annually, in conjunction with the Grandview Heights Lazy Daze of Summer around the 4th weekend of July, the Tri-Village Lions hosts a Pancake Breakfast at the Grandview Heights Middle School. Those that attend enjoy our delicious, all-you-can-eat homemade pancakes, sausage, eggs, orange juice, and White Castle coffee. Joining us at our Pancake Breakfast is a great way to start your day before you head down the street to the festival. 100% of proceeds support all of our local charities.

Ice Cream Sale

For three evenings in September, the Tri-Village Lions join the residents of Grandview Heights and their guests for the Annual Grandview Ox Roast. The Lions serve up gallons (and gallons!) of ice cream to visitors in waffle cones, regular cones, and plastic cups. Last year we had 13 flavors of ice cream available – and they were all gone by Saturday night!!! Money from the Ice Cream Sale goes to support the operations of the club so that money from our other fundraisers can be devoted solely to our many philanthropic activities.

White Cane Sale

For three days every year, on the weekend of an OSU home game, the Tri-Village Lions hit the streets and storefronts of Grandview and Upper Arlington, soliciting donations from community members for our “white cane sale.” Contributors receive a sticker acknowledging their participation in remembering one of the Lions Club’s proudest achievements in their years of championing issues of people who are blind Did you know that it was a Lions Club member who thought up the idea of white canes for the blind – an idea that is accepted and used around the world?

A member of the Tri-Village Lions Club will deliver your roses to you within the first couple weeks of March. Again, 100% of the proceeds from this Rose sale go to the philanthropic programs.

Flower Sale

The Tri-Village Lions Branch holds a flower sale in early Spring each year. The ladies have access to just about anything that blooms, available at great prices. When you are ready to head out to the garden and get to know Mother Nature, up close and personal, these beautiful flowers will get you started on a lovely yard for the upcoming year. This is the Branch club’s biggest fundraiser, and their success over the years is evidenced both by the amount of money collected and the beautiful gardens they have helped to spawn throughout the Tri-Village area.
